1. Brand & Packaging Proposal Slide Deck
Created with: Figma
What makes a brand identity stand out more is cohesiveness across all platforms. That's why, as part of a design jam, I designed my group's slide deck with custom layouts, on-brand fonts and colors, and a distinctive personality without the help of templates, to distinguish the Solara brand against others.
Emphasizing visual storytelling and theming, I noted the points of emphasis, such as the brand name and introduction of the proposed drink flavors, by making their layouts the most distinct, while keeping it distinguishable from section headers. On the other hand, the other slides that provide context but are less important are given more consistent and simpler layouts. The heavily visualized text layout helps the audience navigate larger bodies of text, provide additional context, and keeps them engaged.
2. Annual Report Presentation & Proposal Slide Deck
Created with: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
Designed to present an annual report study of Ocean Wise to showcase a proposed annual report layout design, proposed collateral for an annual general meeting, and the design process behind them. This was prepared with a presentation script, so the amount of text was reduced for audience engagement.
This was presented in the BCIT Downtown Campus Tech Collider. The slideshow was presented in a massive, floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall screen. Considering this scale, I ensured the comfort of the audience through using a black background, and simpler color choices to avoid eyestrain. For visibility and easier readability, high contrast and larger text, and larger photos were used.
3. Brand Guidelines & Collateral Proposal Slide Deck
Created with: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
As this is a brand guideline, this slide deck places more emphasis on communicating a full idea to another person without the assistance of a presenter. Though that may require larger groups of text, applying text hierarchy and layout can help make the slideshow still easier to digest.
While applying the brand visuals and coloring across the deck, I ensured to maintain visually memorable slides by maintaining consistency in text order and layout, breaking down larger groups of text into smaller categories, and allowing some visuals to "speak for themselves."
4. Informative Visual Slide Deck
Created with: Google Slides
Short and simple, the purpose of this deck is to present the role of artist Aubrey Beardsley's role in the Art Nouveau movement. Distinct emphasis was put into simplicity, theming, and visual communication.
Slides are meant to act as visual support to the presenter, so large swaths of text are replaced with smaller phrases with visual guides and examples to provide at-a-glance context. Fonts were chosen to be on-theme to the common typography choices during the Art Nouveau movement.
5. User Research Findings Presentation Deck
Created with: Google Slides
This slideshow was created with the idea of quick, simple storytelling for an information-heavy topic. Inspired by infographics, information in this slide deck was broken down with the use of text hierarchy and visual breakdowns to help the audience remain engaged with the slide deck even when being presented with a lot of information.
